Post-doctoral position for detector development
The experimental high energy physics division at IFIC invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher position in particle physics instrumentation.
IFIC is a joint center of the Spanish Research Council (CSIC) and the University of Valencia devoted to research in Nuclear, Particle and Astroparticle Physics, both experiment and theory, and applications to Medical Physics and other fields of Science and Technology. In particular, the institute has significant involvements in Belle II at KEK (Japan) and NA-64 at CERN (Switzerland), R&D collaborations like RD50 and EU projects like AIDAInnova.
In this context, we are looking for candidates to join our research efforts in the framework of detector development for the aforementioned projects.
Duración del contrato
The initial duration of the contract is for two years, extendable one additional year. The position will be located in Valencia (Spain), with possible trips to major European labs such as CERN and DESY for detector testing campaigns and collaboration meetings.
Please send your application, including PDF attachments with a CV, a statement of research interests, a list of 5 relevant publications, and two recommendation letters via email to the contacts below.
The position will remain open until filled.

Applicants must have a PhD in experimental high-energy physics.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in particle physics instrumentation, ideally in monolithic tracking detectors and integration into DAQ systems.
The successful applicant will play a leading role in the characterization of DMAPS devices, including lab and beam test campaigns, as well as in the development of large area all-silicon CMOS ladders.
