Dr. Alberto Roper Pol visits IFIC from Dec 4rd, to 22th, 2023
Dr. Alberto Roper Pol will be visiting the IFIC from Dec 4rd, to 22th, 2023.
Alberto completed his PhD at the University of Colorado in 2020 studying the production of gravitational waves from turbulence in the early Universe. After his PhD, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Astroparticule et Cosmologie (APC) institute in Paris, where he continued his work on primordial magnetic fields and cosmological gravitational waves production from phase transitions, studying their detectability with pulsar timing arrays and LISA. He joined the Department de Physique Théorique at the Université de Genève in September 2022 with a SNSF Ambizione grant to the project "Exploring the early universe with gravitational waves and primordial magnetic fields" as a research group leader. At the IFIC Seminar on December 5th at 12h (Europe/Madrid) Alberto will give a talk entitled: "Grav. Waves from Turbulence". More information about his talk can be found here: https://indico.ific.uv.es/event/7339/
His office at IFIC is B 1-4-2.
