Prof. Melahat Bayar visits IFIC from June 8th to August 8th, 2024
Prof. Melahat Bayar from Kocaeli University visits IFIC from June 8th to August 8th, 2024.
Prof. Bayar completed her PhD in 2007 at KTU, focusing on the structure of standard hadrons using three-point QCD sum rules. She then conducted postdoctoral research at METU, where she worked on the electromagnetic, weak, and strong decays of both standard and exotic hadrons using three-point and light cone QCD sum rules.
From September 2010 to August 2012, Prof. Bayar was a postdoctoral fellow at IFIC, Valencia, under the supervision of Prof. Eulogio Oset. During this period, she worked on hadron interactions using unitary chiral theory and dynamically generated resonances. Currently, her research areas include effective field theory in hadron physics, low-energy QCD, non-perturbative methods, and exotic hadrons.
She is currently a Full Professor at Kocaeli University, Turkey, and continues her collaboration with the Hadron and Nuclear Theory Group at IFIC, Valencia.
Her office at IFIC is B.4.3.
