Dr. Stefano Gariazzo visits IFIC from 3th to 9th of September, 2024

Stefano obtained his PhD in Physics and Astrophysics at University of Turin (Italy) in 2016. He was postdoctoral fellow under Marie Curie Individual Fellowship and Juan de la Cierva Incorporación at IFIC Valencia (Spain), then twice Marie Curie COFUND Fellowship at INFN (Italy) and IFT Madrid (Spain), before obtaining an Associate Professor position at University of Turin (Italy) in 2024. He mainly works on neutrino physics, with particular focus on the contribution of neutrinos to the Universe evolution since early times, including neutrino decoupling and Big Bang Nucleosynthesis, and neutrino phenomenology at terrestrial experiments. Other interests include methods for Bayesian statistics, phenomenology of dark energy, dark matter and inflation.

At the IFIC Topical Seminar on September 6th at 12h (Europe/Madrid) Stefano will give a talk entitled: "Standard and non-standard neutrino properties from cosmology". More information about his talk can be found here: https://indico.ific.uv.es/event/7711/
