IFIC hosts the GenT workshop on Precision probes of New Physics

Mon, 16/12/2019 - 11:05

Precision measurements represent a crucial ingredient in the search for New Physics. This workshop, hosted by IFIC from 16th to 19th of December, will put together experts working on various aspects of precision physics, such as effective field theory, lattice QCD, precision experiments, or LHC physics. They come from research centers in France, Germany, United States, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland. Measurements and theory calculations of the muon anomalous magnetic moment, the so-called B anomalies, and hadronic tau decays, among others, will be discussed. The workshop will focus mainly on model-independent methods to deal with the strong interactions and the new physics effects. This workshop is organized by the project The present and future of precision physics, funded by the GenT programme of the Generalitat Valenciana.
