Prof. José D. Ruiz-Álvarez, from the Universidad de Antioquia (Medellín, Colombia) is visiting IFIC in November (3-23). His office is located at IATA (office 511). 

He works on Particle Physics, both on the experimental aspects (he is a member of the CMS collaboration) and on the phenomenological ones. He will give an IFIC seminar on Nov 16th with title "Charm physics confronts high-pT​ lepton tails”, based on his recent works on this subject (Phys.Rev.Lett. 122 (2019) 13, 131803, JHEP 11 (2020) 080). 

He is currently collaborating with Dr. González-Alonso in the analysis of LHC data using Effective Field Theories.
