Workshop: 50 years of Bell Inequalities

Fri, 31/10/2014 - 09:51

On November 4th, 1964 John Stewart Bell submitted to the journal Physics a paper that was to revolutionise our understanding of quantum theory: On the Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen paradox, where he characterised the experimental signals of local, realist mechanics, allowing to distinguish this class of theories from quantum mechanics. To celebrate such an event, IVICFA organises next Monday, November 3rd, a workshop where the current state of the art will be discussed, together with what we can learn about quantum mechanics from the experiments carried out to date.

The workshop will be held at an unusual place: the conference room of the Eduard Boscà Library, in the Campus de Burjassot.
