New Call of the 'Artemisa' infrastructure for computing in Artificial Intelligence
From 7 January to 1 February 2026, applications will be open for the use of the Artemisa infrastructure for Artificial Intelligence and machine learning research projects.
Any research group from a Spanish public university or public research centre can apply for this call.
Artemisa currently comprises 23 servers, each hosting one NVIDIA Volta V100 GPU, 11 servers with one NVIDIA Ampere A100 GPU each, one server with eight NVIDIA Ampere A100 GPUs, and two servers with two NVIDIA H100 GPUs each. These servers are particularly well-suited to Artificial Intelligence computing. In addition to these servers, which must be used in 'batch' mode, there are two interfaces where users can test their software in advance. Artemisa also boasts a state-of-the-art CPU and storage system.
Research groups should use the Artemisa website to apply, and follow the steps described there.
Applications will be evaluated by a committee that will consider the scientific interest of the application, the track record of the research group, how well the proposed computation is suited to Artemisa’s resources, particularly with regard to the use of artificial intelligence, and the availability of the requested resources. The societal impact of the proposal may also be considered, particularly if its objectives are listed in the RIS3 priority matrix of the Comunitat Valenciana.
Artemisa is funded by the European Union and the Conselleria of Education, Research, Culture and Sports of the Generalitat Valenciana, via Project IDIFEDER/2018/048 of the FEDER Operational Programme 2014–2020 of the Comunitat Valenciana. It also receives financial support from the MCIU through the NextGenerationEU programme (PRTR-C17.I01) and the Generalitat Valenciana (ASFAE/2022/024).
