Sven-Olaf Moch, from Hamburg University, will be visiting IFIC from 10th-12th November 2025. He will give an IFIC Seminar on November 11th titled The strong coupling and the top-quark mass.

Sven-Olaf Moch’s research focuses on quantum chromodynamics (QCD) and high-precision theoretical calculations in particle physics. He is interested in processes at high-energy colliders like the LHC and in understanding the structure of protons through parton distribution functions. His work aims to provide accurate predictions for experiments and to explore possible physics beyond the Standard Model.

His office will be located at Laboratory Building number 128.
