Dr. Andrea Caputo will be visiting the IFIC from Oct 30th, to Nov 3rd, 2023.
Dr. Andrea Caputo obtained his PhD in September 2020 from the University of Valencia, within the European ITN Network Elusives, under the supervision of Prof. Pilar Hernández. He then moved to Israel where he held a joint postdoc position at Tel Aviv University and Weizmann Institute from October 2020 until November 2022. From November 2022 Andrea is a Fellow at CERN Theory Division in Geneva. His research focuses mainly on the use of astrophysical and cosmological observations to test new physics and in particular dark matter nature. Andrea is also a recipient of an ERC Starting Grant.
In the seminar he will present some of his latest results about the use of Supernovae and Line Intensity Mapping to discover axions and new particles."
At the IFIC Seminar on October 31st at 12h (Europe/Madrid) Andrea will give a talk entitled: "Stars and Galaxies, a pathway to the Dark Side of Fundamental Physics." More information about his talk can be found here: https://indico.ific.uv.es/event/7269/
