Dr. Dimitrios Papoulias visits IFIC from 27th of April to 28th of May, 2022. He is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Physics, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece.
Previously, he worked at the Department of Physics, University of Ioannina, Greece, with a fellowship from the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY). Before, he was a postdoctoral researcher at IFIC, where he worked with the Astroparticles and High Energy Physics Group. He is mainly interested in the interdisciplinary phenomena and the interplay between nuclear physics and astroparticle physics, devoting special effort to the accurate treatment of important corrections imposed by nuclear theory. Recently, he started focusing into wider aspects of neutrino physics, with the goal to probe exotic interactions of neutrinos with matter, Dark Matter and axion-like particles (ALPs), taking into account laboratory experiments as well as cosmological observations. His office is located at IFIC main building, number B-5-6.
