INPhINIT predoctoral fellowships at Instituto de Física Corpuscular IFIC - Valencia

The Instituto de Física Corpuscular (IFIC) offers 14 PhD positions within the INPhINIT programme, promoted by the "La Caixa Foundation" with the European Commission's support through the Horizon 2020 MSCA Actions and COFUND programme. 

 

The Instituto de Física Corpuscular, as "Severo Ochoa Centre of Excellence", is one of the top Spanish research institutions were the selected candidates can carrry out their PhD thesis funded by this programme. IFIC is devoted to research in Particle, Astroparticle and Nuclear Physics and its applications to other fields of science and technology. IFIC covers both the theoretical and experimental aspects of these fields.

 

These early-stage researchers will enjoy a 3-year contract with very advantageous conditions. In addition, the INPhINIT programme sets up a complementary skills training scheme that includes Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship workshops, and Professional and Career Development sessions.

 

The PhD positions cover the following research areas: theoretical particle and astroparticle physics, experimental particle physics at Large Hadron Collider and future colliders, experimental nuclear physics, neutrino telescopes and medical imaging.

Titulacion: 
Completed studies that lead to an official university degree of the European Higher Education Area or another university degree that gives access to doctoral studies.
Experiencia : 
  • To be in the first four years of their research careers and not have been awarded a doctoral degree.
  • Completed studies that lead to an official university degree of the European Higher Education Area or another university degree that gives access to doctoral studies.
  • Not have resided or carried out their main activity in Spain for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the recruitment date.
  • Demonstrable level of English (B2 or higher).
Funciones: 

INPhINIT fellows enjoy a 3-year contract under the Spanish labour legislation. In addition, the INPhINIT programme sets up a complementary skills training scheme that includes Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship workshops, and Professional and Career Development sessions. INPhINIT fellows will take part in some of the several initiatives that "la Caixa" Foundation launches to bring science to the society.
