"la Caixa" - Severo Ochoa doctoral fellowships at IFIC

Obra Social "la Caixa", a nonprofit organization, has established an International PhD Fellowship program aiming to attract young talent to the scientific world. For this aim this Banking Foundation offers four-year fellowships to suitable candidates to carry out predoctoral research in research institutes accredited as Severo Ochoa Excellence Centres. IFIC, a joint centre of the University of Valencia and the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), was awarded the Severo Ochoa mention in 2014 and is known for its highly internationalised research in particle, astroparticle and nuclear physics, oriented both to theory and experiment.

In this context, Obra Social "la Caixa" will fund three fellowships to perform a PhD thesis at IFIC, two of them to carry out theoretical research in particle phenomenology, Standard Model and beyond, and the third one to perform experimental research at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), in connection with the experiments in which IFIC is involved: ATLAS, LHCb and MoEDAL.
