Nuclear Physics

After more than a century of their discovery, atomic nuclei still keep many secrets and there is a wide variety of phenomena not fully understood yet. IFIC researchers in this line work in a broad range of studies in nuclear physics and its applications: gamma spectroscopy, extreme nuclear states, nuclear waste incineration, stellar nuclear reactions. Likewise, they are involved in the construction of the detectors for the large European infrastructure FAIR.
