Medical Physics

The Medical Physics activities are devoted to the biomedical applications of Particle and Nuclear Physics. Its research includes detector development and instrumentation for medical imaging, as well as image science (image reconstruction and algorithmics, modelling of image formation and degradation phenomena, Monte-Carlo simulations, etc.). The activities also cover developments in particle accelerating techniques, beam instrumentation, detector developments for dose monitoring and imaging for hadron therapy.
