Dr. Rishav Roshan from School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Southampton, visits IFIC from November 11th to 15th, 2024

Rishav finished his PhD at the Indian Institute of Technology in Guwahati, India, in 2021. Thereafter, He moved to Kyungpook National University, Daegu, South Korea, for his Postdoctoral research. He completed his Postdoc in June 2023, following which he joined the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Southampton, Southampton, United Kingdom, in July 2023 as a Research Fellow.

Dr. Rishav research is mostly focused on neutrinos and their connections with dark matter and the baryon asymmetry of the Universe. Apart from neutrinos, dark matter, and matter-antimatter asymmetry of the Universe, his research also includes the study of gravitational waves, primordial black holes, and inflation. On the other hand, he is also interested in understanding 21 cm cosmology and its connection to particle physics.

At the IFIC Seminar on November 12th at 12h (Europe/Madrid) Rishav will give a talk entitled: "Quantum gravity effects on dark matter and gravitational waves".
More information about his talk can be found here: https://indico.ific.uv.es/event/7727/
