Prof. Giacomo de Angelis of the Legnaro National Laboratories of the National Institute of Nuclear Physics, Italy, visit the IFIC from 25th September to the 24th of December 2023.

Giacomo de Angelis research activity is mainly focused on the structure of nuclei investigated with gamma spectroscopy methods, on nuclear astrophysics and on nuclear physics based applications.

Giacomo de Angelis got the PHD in physics at the Kernforschungsanlage Juelich (Germany), Abilitation by the Ministry of Research (Italy) and presently works as Research Director at the National Institute of Nuclear Physics (Italy).

He was awarded with the Wilhelm Bessel research award of the Alexander von Humboldt foundation.
