Prof. Roger Hernández Pinto visits IFIC from June 5th to July 5th, 2024
Prof. Roger Hernández Pinto from the University of Sinaloa (México) visits IFIC from June 5th to July 5th, 2024.
Roger got his PhD in Physics in CINVESTAV, Mexico in 2012. Following a postdoctoral research stay at the Universidad de Buenos Aires in Argentina, he was enrolled at IFIC from June 2014 to December 2015. During these periods, he worked on the fundamental aspects of Quantum Chromodynamics in connection with particle physics phenomenology for high energy collider experiments. From January 2016, he is a researcher and assistant professor at the Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa in Mexico continuing with research activities and as a coordinator of the physics department. In particular, he is now working on the aspects of the loop-tree duality, fragmentation functions, machine learning and quantum computing applied to particle physics.
His office at IFIC is in the Experimental Building - 102.
