Salvador Alejandro Ochoa Oregon from Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa visits IFIC from June 5th to July 5th 2024.
Salvador is a student and young researcher in the Facultad de Ciencias Físico-Matemáticas at Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa in México. He works in the group of Dr. Roger José Hernández-Pinto. His main interests are QCD, phenomenology at hadron colliders, and the application of machine learning and quantum computing algorithms to particle physics. Salvador contributions to the latter has been on the use of these algorithms for the analysis of Partonic Distribution Functions (PDF) and Fragmentation Functions (FF) and their implementation to improve Monte Carlo simulations in high-energy collisions.
His office at IFIC is B.5.0.
